Rosefern Residential Home

Rosefern

Rosefern is a residential home for adults aged over 18 years who have learning disabilities.

Rosefern is the realisation of a longed-for dream; to open a home for residents with learning disabilities from long-term hospital care.  On May 29th 1985 the dream became a reality when we found an ideal location in the spa town of Scarborough.

After years of planning and much intense work, Rosefern opened its doors to our first four residents on 15th June 1985. This was a wonderful day for everyone concerned.

The name Rosefern derives from "Rose" which is a family name and "fern" to reflect one of natures most sturdy plants that is resilient enough to stand the test of time.

We have now been established for more than 20 years and employ around a dozen staff to look after as many residents.  If you would like to find out more about Rosefern, please click on any of the menus on the left-hand side of this page.  If you would like to talk to us or arrange a visit to see our Scarborough based home, please click on the Contact Us part of the menu.
