About Us

At Rosefern we strongly believe in keeping both mind and body active. Enabling each individual resident to participate in all activities and be part of a family unit.

Each resident within Rosefern is involved in different activities. From daily tasks such as life skills e.g. polishing, cooking/baking, gardening, setting tables, making drinks etc. To in house activities such as arts and crafts, bingo, reading, writing, playing games, dominoes, picture/word/colour recognition and much more.

There are also external activities that are regularly organised by both staff and residents these include trips to the cinema, theatre, pubs and restaurants, beach, shopping, parks and picnics.

Once a month we organise a day trip to places out of town. Our residents have had many great experiences from West-End shows in the heart of London (Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Phantom of the Opera to name a few).   We have also been to Knowlsley Safari Park, Chester Zoo, Castle Howard and many more places. We recently went on an exciting trip to London, staying the night in a West-End hotel. Whilst in London we went to see Disney's production of Mary Poppins at the Prince Edward Theatre which was Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

Each resident goes on at least one holiday per year. Eygpt

We have travelled all over the world; here are some of our destinations:

  • Cornwall
  • Cotswolds
  • Spain
  • Scandinavia
  • Disneyland Florida
  • Centre Parcs

CruiseWe have also been on a number of cruises, taking in the sights of the Norwegian fjords, the Mediterranean, and even a cruise down the Nile in Egypt.

Each holiday destination is chosen by the residents that express a preference.  Residents are also encouraged to help with the planning and booking process.
